A weekend dedicated to flight

From boomerangs to water rockets, kids in the SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci tried their hand at making, testing and learning about flying machines and space vehicles.

Last Saturday and Sunday, children in the SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci spent time with their friends of many years from the international organization Fly Beyond Dreams, which gathers young aeronautical engineers and other flight technology enthusiasts.

This year, five volunteers from Spain, Germany and faraway Nepal held a series of engaging workshops to educate children about flying machines and space vehicles.

During the weekend, our kids tried boomerang throwing and making and launching water rockets. They also broke the previous record for the highest altitude achieved when launching a water rocket.

The microdrone race proved to be highly entertaining and the workshop on programming robots used to collect rock samples from the surface of Mars attracted the most interest among the participants. We eagerly await the next opportunity to learn and conquer new horizons in the sky!
