SAFETY AND HEALTH OF THE CHILDREN IN SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGES IS OUR PRIORITY

We have made some changes in the daily routine of our children in response to the spread of the coronavirus and the ramping up of measures to combat this outbreak.

To that end, SOS Children's Village Croatia is taking every precaution to protect the safety and health of the children in our care, as well as our staff members.

We want to assure the general public and all the treasured friends of the children in the SOS Children's Villages that we have implemented measures, recommendations and procedures in line with the instructions issued by the competent Ministry of Demographics, Family, Youth and Social Policy, Ministry of Health, National Civil Protection Emergency Response Team and Croatian Institute of Public Health. To prevent the potential spread of the coronavirus in SOS Children's Villages, we instituted a measure of postponing all visits and contact with children by third parties. Other implemented measures include promoting good hygiene behaviours and other steps that prevent the infection as a way of ensuring that our children and staff are protected.

We have also taken measures regarding the activities of our SOS representatives, who communicate with the members of the public face to face. Their activities have been postponed until further notice. SOS representatives promote the work of the Association and needs of children in our care in public places, recruiting new committed donors from the members of the public. Their regular monthly donations, paid through standing orders, constitute the largest portion of the SOS Children's Village Croatia income. Given how important and needed this support is and continues to be to us, please consider making an online donation through the Keks Pay app or by filling out the donation form on the SOS Children's Village website.

SOS Children's Village Croatia continues to actively monitor the situation and follow measures and recommendations of the competent authorities in a responsible and timely manner as the efforts to limit the spread of the coronavirus continue.
