Help portrait

On December 4th, 2010 SOS Children’s Village Ladimirevci participated in HELP PORTRAIT project and joined the world wide initiative which in 2009 gathered more than 2000 photographers from 260 cities in more than 40 countries.

Three photographers from Osijek cooperative Pro-Art, Ivica Glavaš, Igor Bellian and Kristijan Cimer, decided to give away their work, creativity and time to Ladimirevci and donate portraits not only to SOS families but other families from Ladimirevci community.

Help-Portrait project was designed and initiated by a famous American Celebrity Photographer Jeremy Cowart. Ther mission at Help-Portrait is simply to equip and mobilize photography community. coming together across the world to use their photography skills to give back to their local community. The idea has grown beyond local initiative and spread around the world.

Ladimirevci “models” showed great joy and almost professional devotion in posing to photographers who fixed their postures, made them laugh and did all they had to do so that the photo taken becomes a true work of art marking one happy moment in their lives. This is how SOS Children Ladmirevci, together with five other locations all over the country, has put Croatia on the map of one world-wide event.
