Eco-humanitarian project “Think Green”

The initiative for eco-humanitarian project “Think Green” for the purpose of humanitarian aid for SOS Children’s Village was launched by Tourist Board of the Municipality Lekenik, Antiseptica d.o.o.-Vrtdizajn, Velika Gorica whose core business is designing, constructing, marinating of private and public gardens and parks, and the Local Committee Lekenik.

Cooperation on the project was accepted by the Minicipality Lekenik and SOS Children’s Village Lekenik, and Open University “Profokus”, whose participants of the direction “garden design and landscape architecture” in collaboration with Antiseptica Ltd.-Vrtdizajn Velika Gorica, will make ideological and design solutions and assist in planting seedlings. Partnership and support is adopted by the Committee fir Environment Protection of the Croatian Parliament, Croatian Forests Ltd., Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development, and was also offered to the Ministry of Environment Protection, Physical Planning and Construction, Environment Protection Fond and UNDP.

 This project aims at the eco-educative activities for the benefit of Children’s Village and local community to achieve humanitarian donations for SOS Children’s Village and at the same time to raise awareness of people to “Think green”, with actions like this one and similar through “International Year of Forests 2011.” to help preservation of the ozone layer around the Earth. The realization of tasks in action plan contributes to the achievements of the Programme for Environmental Management of the Municipality Lekenik.

Scheduled venue of the Project “Think green” will bi on Saturday, April 16th, 2011. during celebration of the “Earth Day” and “International Year of Forests 2011.”.
Location of the venue would be SOS Children’s Village Lekenik, H. Gmeinera 1, Lekenik.
