Chevrolet donates two cars to SOS Children's Village Croatia

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the company, Chevrolet donated 100 cars to SOS Children's Villages around Europe. In Croatia, they celebrated their birthday in the SOS Children's Village Lekenik, donating a big, white Orlando to the Village. National Office of SOS Children's Village Croatia received a Chevrolet Aveo.

When Mr. Kolbl presented Mr. Čović, director of the SOS Children's Village Lekenik, with the keys to Orlando, and Mrs. Biserka Rudman, director of Chevrolet’s authorized dealer Rudman from Sisak, did the same with the keys to Aveo, which she gave to Mrs. Mariza Katavić, the president of SOS Children's Village Croatia, smiles lit the faces of all our children, making this beautiful picture complete. After blowing the candles on the birthday cake, singing songs, playing and generally having fun, magician Luka Vidović shared some of his magic tricks with our inquisitive children.

“Hundred eventful years have passed since the manufacture of the first Chevrolet, and we are so happy that this major anniversary has afforded us the opportunity to help the organization such as SOS Children's Village Croatia. We believe that our two cars are in the right hands, and I sincerely hope they will help the children in their daily activities by increasing their mobility and the mobility of SOS mothers, who are so dedicated to their children’s wellbeing”, said Mr. Jernej Kolbl, director of Chevrolet for Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia, to the gathered guests.

“Although still very young when compared to the 100 years that Chevrolet has been in operation, SOS Children's Village Croatia boasts a number of projects and activities aimed at providing children with love, safe home and education. Business operations of the Village depend on the donations of our friends, and we are extremely proud to have a friend like Chevrolet, so supportive of our work and so willing to make it easier. Mobility plays an important role in this regard. These new cars will help our children to reach their destinations with greater speed and ease, and increase their participation in various activities. This donation is yet another affirmation of our partnership and friendship, and we are truly grateful for it”, said Mrs. Mariza Katavić, president of the Association SOS Children's Village Croatia.
