SOS Journal - seeking companies to help us!

The warm, joyful and eventful 2011 will be ending soon, and everyone in our SOS Children's Villages is diligently preparing to say goodbye to it in a dignified manner. Children are studying hard because they want to enter the Christmas season with the best possible grades, so that they can enjoy winter holidays without a care in the world. However, there is still enough time to consider which of their many wishes they want to write down in their letters to Santa Claus. Thanks to our numerous friends, we will be able to make many of those wishes come true and our happy, smiling children and young people will once again make Christmas time the best of all seasons.

We provide care for 250 children and youth without parents or adequate parental care. Preschool and elementary school children live in SOS Children's Villages in Lekenik and Ladimirevci, while young people of high school age receive care in SOS Youth Facilities in Osijek, Velika Gorica and Zagreb. To make sure they are fully prepared for independent life, we also follow and support our youngsters in the semi-independent living accommodations. With our help and supervision, this is where they can complete their college studies and internships in peace, or weather the first, and often the most difficult years of living on their own. To be able to do all of that for our children and youngsters, we need your help too.
