Christmas magic that captures the imagination

Days leading up to the holiday season in the SOS Children's Village were filled with holiday-themed activities. As in previous years, SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci welcomed many dear friends, among them actors, magicians, a mentalist…

Members of the Mak Theatre from Zagreb paid us a surprise visit and made our children laugh with their ingenious Christmas-themed magic tricks. Santa Claus-turned-magician was a particular favorite. Our youngest children, as well as a number of our SOS mothers and SOS aunts, all clamored for a chance to have their picture taken with him.
Mentalist Dario shared some very unusual and really interesting tricks and illusions with the children the day before Christmas Eve. The magician recruited children to help him: pigeons flew out of paintings, rings spilled out from egg shells, scarves served as a hiding place for flowers. Children’s applause and laughter throughout the performance were the best proof of how much they all enjoyed it.
