Mazda and SOS Children's Village continue their collaboration in 2012

For the fourth year in a row, the friendship between SOS Children's Village Croatia and Mazda Croatia has been growing stronger and better. Every year, Mazda faithfully contributes to the work of SOS Children's Village Croatia with donations in support of Children's Village. This year was no exception: by donating EUR 10.000 donation in kuna counter value, Mazda will cover the annual utility bills of several Village houses.

The donation ceremony was a relaxed, fun-filled affair reflecting the spirit of winter holidays: Mazda representatives joined the children from SOS Children's Village Lekenik in snowball fights, sledding and snowman making, and the day was filled with laughter and fun.
Two years ago, Mazda covered the cost of electricity, gas, water, utility services and telephone for several houses in the SOS Village. Last year they donated a Mazda 3 to SOS Children's Village, which has made a world of difference in the daily activities of our children and youngsters. This year Mazda donated EUR 10.000 in kuna counter value. To honor this donation, Children's Village Lekenik organized the snow games for the children and employees of Mazda Croatia, who celebrated the occasion by making a giant snowman together.
Mazda Croatia is one of 6 Mazda’s national branches that support SOS Children's Village in their respective countries, together with their parent company Mazda Motor Europe. Donations differ from year to year depending on the needs of individual Villages, and so far they have ranged from covering utility bills, donating cars and playground and house renovations to funding SOS Children's Village children’s visits to their biological parents.
SOS Children's Village is an international non-governmental organization that has been helping children and young people for more than 60 years. It has made a positive difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of children. SOS Children's Village provides home, family environment and education for children who cannot live with their biological parents, while respecting their religious beliefs and cultural heritage.
