Children take part in the promotion of EURO 2012 at the Avenue Mall while celebrating the Days of Poland

Thanks to the Polish embassy and Osijek shopping mall Avenue Mall, children from SOS families in Children's Village Ladimirevci came a little bit closer to Poland and Ukraine, if only for a moment.

At the invitation from the Polish Embassy, children from SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci took a day trip to Osijek, where they received a warm welcome from the Polish ambassador to Croatia, Mr. Wieslaw Tarka, and the representative of the co-organizer of the trip, the Osijek shopping centre Avenue Mall.
Children watched the indoor football matches with a lot of interest. They chose to cheer for the Dutch team, because Denis, their big SOS brother, was one of the players. Lunch and refreshments were accompanied with live music, chosen especially for children by the restaurant owners and organizers.
Guests big and small watched the animated feature Pirates with bated breath, and we ended the trip and this wonderful day by taking a picture together with the Polish ambassador, who gave us a parting gift – the official football of the European Football Championship scheduled to begin in June in Poland and Ukraine. We would like to thank the event organizers for this lovely get-together that made our children smile.
