Employees of Oriflame Cosmetics Croatia spend a day in Lekenik

Employees of Oriflame Cosmetics spent a work day playing with children from SOS Children's Village Lekenik instead of sitting in front of their computers.

Employees of the international cosmetics company Oriflame spent their work day playing with children from SOS Children's Village Lekenik, instead of sitting in an office in front of their computers. After many years of helping the children in the SOS Children's Village Croatia by providing funds and furnishings for their homes, this partnership now has an added social dimension, which is surely the most important dimension of all.

“A day spent playing and having fun with kids from the SOS Children's Village Lekenik was really special and without a doubt the most wonderful work day we had this year. Volunteering is only one of many ways in which people can help, and we want to spread the message of how important it is to be sensitive to the needs of the next generation, especially in these difficult times”, said the director of Oriflame Cosmetics, Gordana Kadoić, while visiting SOS Children's Village Lekenik.

A day with the children from SOS Children's Village Lekenik featured dancing, drawing and an entertaining quiz. Afterwards, the Oriflame employees presented the children, SOS aunties and SOS mothers with special gift packages. Before they left, we invited them to our traditional Christmas show, which is prepared and performed by our children themselves.

“These visits from friends are very important for our children, because they give children the opportunity to showcase their skills to others, thereby giving meaning to our work. But our children do more than just receive visitors; they also visit other places themselves, thanks to our educational program ‘Self-esteem Through Stage’. This program, which includes all kinds of creative endeavors, from drama and writing to music, dance and art, has already resulted in many beautiful creative projects by our children”, said Mario Čović, the director of the SOS Children's Village Lekenik.
