St. Nicholas in SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci

As in previous years, St. Nicholas again paid a visit to the children in the SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci. On a late wintry evening, a celebration was held in the SOS Pumpkin House, decorated with children’s drawings. All the children, their SOS mothers and SOS aunties gathered together to enjoy themselves and support our young actors, singers and dancers.

Our youngest, and bravest members opened the celebration: preschoolers who sang a popular classic Fall, Fall, Little Snow and earned a huge applause from everyone. After that, Novela, Marija, Nikolina, Mihael, Valentina, Husnija and Josip recited holiday-themed poems.
Dalibor bravely volunteered to sing Snowflakes Fall for St. Nicholas, to the delight of everyone in the audience. As a closing act, our dance group performed their acrobatic number, showcasing their enviable skills. St. Nicholas told several engaging stories to our children, offered a bit of advice and instructed them to clean their boots thoroughly, so that he could leave their gifts in them during the night. Children listened to him attentively and promised they would be kind to others, work hard in school and enjoy playing in their free time. St. Nicholas gave the children candy and took pictures with them so that they have something to remember him by.

When asked about the whereabouts of Krampus, St. Nicholas responded that Krampus has once again kept clear of the Children's Village. He heard there was no need to come, because only good children live in the Children's Village. After the show, children bravely searched for him for a long time, but to no avail. It seems that St. Nicholas was right after all – when the children woke up this morning, they found their long wished for gifts on their window sills.
