It’s Mardi Gras, it’s Mardi Gras, and the days have gotten crazy…

On Monday, February 11, children from the SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci took part in the traditional Mardi Gras parade going through Ladimirevci, and later participated in the pageant held in the Ladimirevci elementary school.

Pirates, clowns, Supermen, fairies and witches, Indians, cartoon characters, animals, Suleimans and their sultanas all joined the parade weaving its way through the Village to show off their colorful costumes. Afterwards, everyone gathered in the school gym to sing and dance, and to enjoy delicious doughnuts, homemade bread rolls and various cakes. Our clown Valentino won the prize for the best male costume. After the party, our delighted and exhausted children returned to their homes. They are still reminiscing about this craziest day of the year, when everyone can turn into whomever they want…
