Let’s welcome the storks to Lekenik

Springtime and returning storks were welcomed back by our children, little writers and artists from SOS Children's Village Lekenik!

Our little writers and artists from SOS Children's Village Lekenik welcomed back the springtime and returning storks with an environmental and cultural event called “Let’s Welcome the Storks”. This interesting event took place at the Hermann Gmeiner Social Center in SOS Children's Village Lekenik.
Children read their own writings on storks and springtime, and exhibited their art work on the subject. This event with a strong environmental bent has become part of the region’s tradition in recent years, and one of its tourist attractions. For us, it is a way to greet the arrival of spring and welcome our storks back. Storks herald the end of winter, symbolize the joy of nature awakening from its slumber, and they always delight our children who spend the cold winter days dreaming of spring and trying to recreate it through words and art.
