16 oak seedlings for 16 years of SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci

SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci received the first gift for its forthcoming 16th anniversary. Friends from a citizen’s initiative from Osijek called Veliki za male brought us the oak seedlings and planted them in the SOS Children's Village with the help of our children.

Lidija, Igor and Ivica, representatives of the citizen’s initiative Veliki za male (Adults Helping Children), joined forces with the children, director and handyman of the SOS Children's Village, and planted all 16 oak seedlings.
“It was great, and I planted my own tree, I only wish there weren’t so many mosquitoes around”, said little Dragana, who also helped other children plant their own seedlings.
We will take good care of the seedlings and water them every day, so that our oaks can grow big and thrive in the years ahead, just like the friendship between the citizen’s initiative Veliki za male and SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci.
Dear friends, thank you. We look forward to seeing you at our joyous birthday celebration on May 25. We are confident that the oaks will continue to grow bigger and stronger every year, just like our children on their way to independence.
