Medtronic employees bring beauty to the SOS Children's Village Lekenik

Employees of Medtronic, the world’s largest medical technology company and our long-time donor, visited the SOS Children's Village Lekenik, once again contributing to the happy childhood of children who found their home in SOS families, as they have been doing for years.

Every year, SOS Villages undertake a number of maintenance and renovation projects on their facilities and grounds, with support and help of numerous companies. Medtronic employees enhanced the beauty of SOS Children's Village Lekenik by planting flowers in many different colors and they repainted the fences around family houses, damaged by damp and cold during the snow-laden winter months.
“Our children and SOS mothers gave a warm welcome to our friends from Medtronic and then they joined forces to make SOS Children's Village Lekenik more beautiful. We are fortunate we can rely on our partnership with Medtronic, and we look forward to collaborating with them in the future”, said Ljiljana Varga, SOS Children's Village Croatia corporate fundraiser.
For several years now, Medtronic has been supporting and helping SOS Children's Villages by covering the annual utility expenses of the SOS family living in the Poppy House. During this most recent outing to our Village, Medtronic representatives also visited the children in this SOS family, bringing them presents for their forthcoming summer vacation.
“We are happy to work in a company that recognizes the work of SOS Children's Villages in Croatia. Making an impact on society is an essential part of our mission and we are proud to have been a partner and donor to SOS Children's Village Croatia for the past several years”, said Hrvoje Badovinac, director of Medtronic Adriatic Region and Bulgaria.
