“Think Green – Jarun 2013”

The environmental drive carried out by divers raised funds for the children in SOS Children's Villages. All proceeds from the sale of National Geographic Croatia issues and Scubalife will be donated to children in SOS Children's Villages!

The environmental charity drive Think Green 2014, which took place on the Jarun lake, at the Aquarius Club beachfront, was carried out by 107 registered divers from all parts of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. While cleaning the lake, the divers removed almost half a ton of waste, ranging from truck tires, tin and discarded canoes to plastic cups, glass bottles and other kinds of garbage. Also participating in this drive were well known athletes such as players of the Zagreb CO and Lokomotiva handball clubs, tennis player Marin Čilić and sports commentator Drago Čosić. The raised funds will be donated to SOS Children's Village Lekenik. The organizers are also planning a spring cleaning drive, and they are hopeful that the new drive will attract even more divers.
