Siemens Croatia donates HRK 35.000

Siemens Croatia continues its cooperation with SOS Children's Village Croatia by donating funds required to cover the utility expenses of one SOS family. This year, Siemens Croatia donated HRK 35.000 for the annual utility expenses of the SOS family living in the Marigold House.

SOS Children's Village Croatia gives children without adequate parental care a home by providing them with family-based care and a loving, committed SOS mother. Aided by its expert co-workers – psychologists, pedagogues, social workers – but also SOS aunties, Village handymen and administrative-maintenance staff, SOS Children's Village Croatia looks after 240 children and youngsters in two SOS Children's Villages and four SOS Youth Facilities.

In the words of the director of SOS Children's Village Lekenik: “We are grateful to our friends from Siemens Croatia – thank you for your donation and support you give to SOS Children's Village Lekenik, which ensures a safe and happy childhood for children in SOS families. We are facing some big challenges, but longstanding support from our friends and partners makes everything easier.”

Ms. Marija Felkel, Head of Human Resources at Siemens Croatia, said this while handing the donation: “I am truly proud that I am able to present you with this donation on behalf of Siemens. I am particularly happy that donating to SOS Children's Village is now a tradition for us. This is our way of showing that understanding children’s needs is a long-term commitment for us. I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all SOS mothers, whose generosity and love are instrumental in creating a home for children in Children's Village, and it is up to us to try and secure funding and ensure the safest possible future for them.”
