Tatjana Josipović visits during holiday season

In anticipation of the holiday season, Tatjana Josipović visited the SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci, accompanied by the social activities advisor to the Croatian president Zrinka Vrabec Mojzeš, the SOS Children's Village Croatia national director Višnja Tuškan Krupić and SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci director Zoran Relić, and she spoke with all SOS mothers to find out what motivated them to take up this calling and what keeps them committed to providing loving care to children in their SOS families.

One of the conclusions reached during this conversation was that SOS Children's Village and its child care concept, which allows for larger groups of biological siblings to remain together in a single SOS family, are the best solution for children in need of long-term out-of-family care. Afterwards, the guests visited the SOS family with two pairs of young twins, all of them biological siblings.

The toddlers demonstrated how much progress they made in just one year of living in the Children's Village. Although they haven’t mastered speaking yet, they still communicated very clearly, using their voices and non-verbal gestures. SOS mother Melita prepared a delicious lunch for her children and the guests who joined them.
We continued our get-together in the creative setting of the Pumpkin House, where almost all children living in the Children's Village welcomed Tatjana Josipović by performing a special Christmas show for her.
We thanked Tatjana Josipović for delicious, healthy tangerines that came from the Brijuni islands courtesy of the Office of the Croatian President, and for the additional gifts she brought in person.

“We like receiving gifts, but we also enjoy giving them away”, said Marino, the president of the Children's Village Ladimirevci Children’s Parliament, while handing the presents to Tatjana Josipović together with the Children's Village director. They also wished her all the best in the holiday season on behalf of all the children and co-workers in the Children's Village Ladimirevci.
