INA at the workshop held by the SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci mobile expert team providing help to the flooded areas

Yesterday the SOS mobile team held a workshop in the elementary school “Đurići” as a way of providing support to the residents of flooded areas in Slavonia. By supporting SOS Children's Village Croatia, INA also supports the programme “We Help Restore the Safety of Home for Children and Families”, designed by the SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci.

Yesterday, the SOS mobile team held a workshop in the elementary school “Đurići”, presenting the project launched by the SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci “We Help Restore the Safety of Home for Children and Families”, which has been running since June 2014, when it was set up to provide psychosocial support to children, families and individuals from the flooded areas in Slavonia.
“We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with SOS Children's Village Croatia in this year as well, and happy that by supporting its work we also support the programme ‘We Help Restore the Safety of Home for Children and Families’, which has been designed to help the flood victims. I would like to point out that INA has been very involved in providing relief to Slavonia and that we want to help stabilize the life in the flooded areas by engaging in a variety of different activities”, said Ms. Željana Kljaić, the director of INA’s Eastern Croatia Production Region.
Through the programme “We Help Restore the Safety of Home for Children and Families”, SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci runs activities of psychosocial support for children, families and individuals from the flooded areas. The programme has been running since June 2014, and it is carried out by experts who work with children from Drenovci, Đurići, Račinovci, Rajevo Selo and Strošinci on a daily basis in counseling centers set up on these locations and in Gunja, where they provide psychosocial support to the residents of the region.

“For all the activities we run in the Cvelferija region, it is extremely important to provide them on an ongoing basis, because only ongoing and consistent action, combined with our expertise, allows us to make sure that everyone who has been affected by this tragedy is safe and sound, and that they know they can rely on the most important aspect of living in a community – caring for each other, especially those members of the community who find themselves in dire straits. Children's Village Ladimirevci is grateful to its great friend INA on its ongoing, continued financial support, and on the personal involvement of many of its employees. Together, we create positive models for business collaboration and show by example that togetherness makes a huge difference in the society”, said Zoran Relić, the director of SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci.
In addition to supporting SOS Children's Village Croatia and its programme “We Help Restore the Safety of Home for Children and Families”, INA also helped the county of Slavonia by donating 1 million kuna in May, immediately after the flood, and by the subsequent 2.5 million kuna donation for the construction of the Social Center in Gunja, and for the project “My Sunshine for Gunja”, through which the famous Croatian artists will donate artwork made especially for this occasion to become part of the permanent collection of the Social Center in Gunja.
