17.000 Kilometers in One Year, for the Benefit of Families

“A Loving Home for Every Child” is both the name and the goal of the program launched by the SOS Children's Village Croatia and the Ministry of Social Policy and Youth, and the first-year results have just been outlined in a public presentation calle

The program launched by the SOS Children's Village Croatia and the Ministry of Social Policy and Youth, “A Loving Home for Every Child”, recently showed the results of the first year of activity. The presentation entitled “Our First 17.000 Km for the Family” also included the eponymous film about the program.

SOS Children's Village Croatia National Program Development Director, Gordana Daniel, addressed the attendees and spoke about the work and activities of the SOS Mobile Team and the Counseling Center for Children, Youth and Family, which has been active in the Sisak-Moslavina County in the past year. She also thanked our partners and friends for supporting the project “A Loving Home for Every Child” and attending the presentation of the results achieved in the first year of its implementation.

The mayor of Lekenik, Ivica Perović, also praised this initiative and pointed out that the results of the first year are already visible, and that many problems are currently being tackled thorugh project activities. In mayor’s words: “Nothing matters more than the smile of a child and happiness of a family.”
County governor Ivo Žinić expressed his satisfaction with the project and stated that politicians only do good work when they are in sympathy with the children who need attention the most. To find out more about the event, click here.
