When elementary school students join forces

Students from the elementary school Matija Gubec are the living proof of the innate generosity of children. They brought gifts to children in the SOS Children's Village Lekenik and spent a lovely day with them, having fun and giving lessons in severa

The students of the ES Matija Gubec international program visited the SOS Children's Village Lekenik last Thursday, May 14. In addition to meeting new friends and learning more about life in the Village, our young friends held workshops in which they taught the basics of their own native languages – Hungarian, Farsi, Chinese, Italian and English. They also brought products donated by Konzum.

The generous children from ES Matija Gubec selflessly raised money through a charity raffle and they brought gifts donated by Konzum for the children from the SOS Children's Village Lekenik. This happy event was also attended by the children from ES Mladost in Lekenik. All in all, the event was attended by sixty participants.

Children from the SOS Children's Village Lekenik also prepared presents for the dear guests – little ceramic houses they made in hobby art workshop, symbols of the Village. The visiting students made new friends, and they also took away a tangible reminder of the lovely day they spent in SOS Children's Village Lekenik.
