Children from SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci spend an unforgettable week in Prague

Thanks to the civic association ‘Vlaštovka’ from Prague, 55 children and their SOS mothers from the SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci spent an unforgettable week in the Czech capital of Prague.

Our generous hosts, civic association ‘Vlaštovka’ prepared a week’s worth of activities for its guests. The delighted children took a boat ride down the Vltava river, went sightseeing around Prague, swam in the Aquapark, visited the Croatian Embassy, the Toy Museum, the children’s home in Benešov and zoo and still had lots of fun time just playing and being together.

The Village director Zoran Relić was as delighted with this wonderful gesture by the civic association ‘Vlaštovka’. He pointed out that children and mothers would remember this trip for the rest of their lives. As he said, ‘in addition to learning more about the fascinating history of Prague, they also made new friends, with whom they want to share a happier future’.

SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci is the sixth SOS Children's Village from former Yugoslavia that ‘Vlaštovka’ welcomed to Prague. In words of the honorary president of the association, Dr. Edo Jaganjac, ‘for this humanitarian story we chose the children from SOS Village, because they stand the best chance of succeeding in life.’

Children and SOS mothers returned home happily, richer for another beautiful experience and friendships that will last a lifetime.
