Bike tour from Zagreb to Makarska for happy children

While most twenty-five-year olds are still mulling over their options for summer holidays, Igor and Marko have already made their ‘cunning plan’ – a charity bike tour for SOS Children's Village Croatia!

Igor and Marko are two young men with unquenchable thirst for adventures. Both are students with indestructible athletic spirit and incredible need to be active. Five years ago both took up running, and this March they ran the marathon on Cyprus. After 42 km, they left everyone else in the dust.

To top it all off, these two young men decided to do something good for people in need. Is there anything lovelier than young, accomplished people recognizing the joy of helping others? Igor and Marko decided to combine their passion for adventure with charity.

While most of their peers are making plans to spend the summer partying, Igor and Marko will be going on a charity bike tour on July 22. They set themselves a challenge of crossing 2000 km on a route that will include Zagreb, Ljubljana, Venice, Bologna, Florence, Pisa, Rome, Ancona, Zadar and their final destination, Makarska.

This would be an impressive accomplishment in and of itself, but the guys also decided that this tour was an ideal opportunity to spread the word of happy childhood. During their 2000 km tour, Igor and Marko will ride for those who need help the most – for children in SOS Children's Village Croatia.

In addition to T-shirts with logos inviting kind people to call the charity helpline 060 90 55, Marko and Igor will publish selfies from every city they visit on their Facebook page, and share them on SOS Children's Village Croatia Facebook page. We invite you to support this wonderful campaign and two young men who know that children’s happiness is the most important thing in the world.
