Despite minor accidents, Igor and Marko are staying the course

Our brave cyclists Igor and Marko suffered some minor setbacks on their route through Italy, but they dealt with all of them with a smile.

After crossing 535 km on bike in five days, Igor and Marko finally reached Venice. Tired, but in a good mood, they took the day off to rest and go sightseeing around this fabulous city. They took full advantage of the gloriously sunny day to be tourists, taking pictures and strolling through Venice.

Of course, throughout the trip they raised awareness of SOS Children's Village Croatia and invited all kind-hearted people to help children and young people without parents or parental care.
Wherever they went, people recognized their humanitarian purpose and genuine desire to help. For example, while cycling through Slovenia, they struck a friendship with the cycling team from the Bicycle club Muretinci, and in Venice they met Mihovil and Matea, who wholeheartedly supported their campaign.

After leaving Venice, our cyclists encountered some minor setbacks. The boys decided early on to deal with issues of hygiene and sleeping arrangements on the go, adapting to the circumstances on the road. On one occasion, Igor was drying his T-shirt on a bike, and it got stuck and torn. Igor took it in stride and continues to proudly wear the shirt with the SOS logo. Shortly after this clothing mishap, boys got thoroughly soaked during a rain shower, which slowed them down somewhat, and soon after that they had their first flat tire. They replaced the tire easily and continued their bike tour.

Igor and Marko are currently resting in a camp near the small town of Ravena. From there, they will continue their tour to Bologna. Wish them luck and support their admirable project – share their selfies on Facebook with the following status: A smile for SOS Children's Village Croatia, share the joy by calling 060 90 55 (6.25 kuna) #sretnodjetinjstvo.
