Valuable donation for the victims of flooding

On Saturday, November 28, 2015 in Drenovci, Rotary club Zagreb Maksimir and SOS Children's Village signed a donation agreement valued at HRK 70.000,00.

The donation will go towards the program “We Help Restore the Safety of Home for Children and Families”, which has been operating in the flood-stricken region of Cvelferija since June 2014.

This program of psychosocial support is designed to help children and families cope with the trauma of being caught in a natural disaster and to help them build their capacity and acquire skills needed for good child rearing and development.

SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci Mobile Team is made up of four psychologists. Thanks to this valuable donation, they will be able to continue implementing the program of psychosocial support for children and families in Cvelferija during the next year.

“We are proud that the members and the leadership of the Rotary Club Zagreb Maksimir have recognized SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci as a responsible partner who has spent the past seventeen months implementing the program of psychosocial support in the Cvelferija region. We are all committed to the goal of improving the social conditions in Cvelferija, so we are happy that our experts will be able to use their expertise and skills to continue to provide services for more than 800 children and 70 families, and thus contribute to their well-being”, said Zoran Relić, director of SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci.
