A wet, muddy, joyful Bike Tour

Our traditional annual event Bike Tour took place in the SOS Children's Village Lekenik recently. Despite the unstable weather and frequent thunderstorms, our cyclists – children and grown-ups both – successfully completed the familiar route.

Armed with their bicycles, helmets, smiles and good will, the kids from the SOS Children's Village Lekenik spent their Saturday cycling and having fun.
Following the familiar unpaved road along the River Odra, they rode their “two-wheeled race horses” while taking in the beautiful countryside.
After reaching their destination, they took a short break and then headed back to the Village.
As they were riding back, they were surprised by a sudden thunderstorm. But a little springtime rain could never stand in the way of our cyclists! They continued on doggedly, finally reaching their destination. Wet, muddy, but happy, they were treated to delicious goulash and then proceeded to take part in various outdoor games until late in the afternoon.
