Our kids take a big step

The first Monday in September is a big day for many children. The start of the school year also marks the beginning of new challenges, adventures and turning points. This is also true for the kids in the SOS Children's Villages, who just took a big step forward.

For our Ladimirevci contingent, this meant that they chose to celebrate the beginning of the new school year and new chapter in the life of our children and youth by holding a picnic in the SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci on Friday before the start of the school week.

Six children started the first grade of elementary school, while another six children started high school, which also meant moving to our two SOS Youth Facilities in Osijek.

In SOS Children's Village Lekenik, four first graders began their school adventure equipped with heavy school bags and bravely stepping into the classroom for the first time.
We wish everyone success in school and a smooth adjustment to a new chapter in their lives.
