Small hands working together create wonders

SOS Children's Village Lekenik recently held creative workshops for children and our loyal donors from companies Johnson & Johnson, Atlantic Trade and dm–drogerie markt.

Kids from the SOS Children's Village Lekenik introduced their guests to the world of children’s imagination and creativity through two workshops. Everyone who joined the art workshop could try their hand at drawing and painting, while the participants in the hobby art workshop had the opportunity to make small ceramic houses.

After an hour of creative work, children and adults who participated proudly showed off their work. The most successful ones earned the thunderous applause from everyone. We capped off the occasion by taking a photo together as a keepsake.

This fun-filled event in the SOS Children's Village was a way of celebrating the collaboration between Johnson & Johnson and Association SOS Children's Village Croatia, launched at the beginning of this year in SOS Children's Villages Lekenik and Ladimirevci under the name Health is for Everyone.

The goal of this program is to provide financial and educational support for disease prevention, personal hygiene and child care in families through programs of Association SOS Children's Village Croatia.

The project will run for two years and during that time Health is for Everyone will offer a series of training courses delivered by health professionals. In 2017, the training will be focused on physical health, while in 2018 the focus will shift to practical training.

“Becoming a part of the Johnson & Johnson Health Is For Everyone project is extremely important to Association SOS Children's Village Croatia. In addition to providing our SOS families and SOS mothers who look after the children in them with helpful information, the training courses offered by Johnson & Johnson and sharing the knowledge of health professionals is key to local communities in Lekenik and Ladimirevci, where we run our family strengthening programs. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Johnson & Johnson, and our participants in training eagerly await the new challenges and sharing of experiences”, said Ljiljana Varga, head of the Corporate Sponsorships at SOS Children's Village Croatia.
