Lions Club Region East bring gifts for children in the SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci

SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci opened its doors to 50 members of the Lions Club Croatia – Region East, who arrived on a Sunday morning to give Christmas gifts to children in the SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci.

The gifts were chosen for the children after seeing the drawings they made about their Christmas wishes.

The event was opened by Mr. Zoran Relić, director of SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci, who congratulated the Lions Club on their global centennial anniversary. He then passed the floor to Mr. Jozo Berečić and invited him to talk about the Lions Club and the campaign they carried out.

Former governor of the Lions Club for Croatia Ms. Nada Arbanas read the Christmas story A Christmas in the Cold Garden to the children and afterwards children accepted their gifts. Every child brought an ornament for the giant Christmas tree in front of the SOS Pumpkin house as a token of gratitude. Everyone took a photo together to wish each other a Merry Christmas.

Despite the chilly Sunday morning, the generosity of our friends from Lions Clubs Region East warmed the children's hearts and made them smile brightly. Having one's wishes come true is always a special treat.
