Winter fun on a mountain peak

To make the best of a beautiful winter day, this Sunday young hikers from the SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci embarked on a new adventure.

Twenty-two children and young people from the SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci went on a hike called A Few Steps to Mališćak, joining 98 hikers from the Dumina section of the Zanatlija Hiking Society from Osijek.

Our young hikers explored the botanical trail lined with masses of primroses, crocuses and hellebores. The highlight of the day was climbing the Papuk peak with an elevation of 720 m.

An ambitious climb like that requires some fun and relaxation afterwards. The Ladimirevci kids used the downtime for snowball fights and sledding. They also tried their hand at slacklining and they roasted bacon and sausages over a campfire.

After such a lovely hiking day, everyone is looking forward to a new hiking trip in March. 😊
