Another magical sporting day in SRS Kozjak

Big bouncy castles, outdoor sports, delicious barbecue and unbridled fun that lasted until the afternoon hours marked another great get-together at the Sports and Recreation Society Kozjak grounds.

For the third year in a row, our generous friends from the SRS Kozjak gathered numerous volunteers who dedicated an entire day to the children from SOS Children's Villages Lekenik and Ladimirevci.

The now traditional event began with the performance by the little actors from Lekenik. The SOS Children's Village Lekenik Theatre Club performed their play Story of Little Lapitch as Told in Verse in the Žar ptica Theatre, which was filled to capacity.

The play ended to thunderous applause and loud cheers by the impressed audience. Afterwards, everyone left the theatre and moved to the nearby sports grounds. This time, everyone flocked to three bouncy castles, while younger kids focused on football, volleyball and the ball pit.

There was also a great deal of interest and a long line of children waiting for a lesson with an archery instructor. Some children were so determined they managed to hit the target point blank!

This year’s sporting get-together in SRS Kozjak ended with a delicious barbecue and huge amount of tasty cakes. We are already looking forward to meeting again next year!
