Little Lapitch and his Lekenik friends wow the Lisinski Hall

When you combine love of acting, children’s brave hearts and support from an enthusiastic audience, what you get in return is a first-class children’s theatre performance. That is exactly what happened when the talented little actors from SOS Children's Village Lekenik performed their play Story of Little Lapitch as Told in Verse.

Our kids held a premiere of their play Story of Little Lapitch as Told in Verse in the smaller hall of the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall on Sunday, June 17. Led by director and author of the play Rusmir Agačević, our little actors showcased their acting skills and wowed the audience.

The almost sold out Lisinski Hall was filled with smiling children who eagerly awaited the beginning of the performance. The story of Little Lapitch is well known to generations of children in Croatia, and as usual, Lapitch and Gita proved to be the most popular characters with the audience.

The play ended with a strong moral and our little actors received a thunderous applause and even had to return to the stage to bow to the audience again. Performing in the famous Lisinski Concert Hall was a huge honour. We are thankful to our friends from the Lions Club Agram, who organized the whole event. Thank you from the bottom of our heart!
