Children for children

International Children’s Rights Day is traditionally celebrated on November 20. Who better to honour this important date than children, who approached the task in their own way?

SOS Children's Village Lekenik dedicated the day to educational workshops. Fifty-three children, their ages ranging from toddlers to eighth-graders, participated in a number of cheerful and engaging activities.

Under the guidance of psychologists from the SOS Children's Village Croatia Mobile Team and educators and the pedagogical assistant from the SOS Children's Village Lekenik, children learned about the various aspects of children’s rights in an age-appropriate way.

We always look forward to spending time with the children from the Primary School Mladost. This time they visited us accompanied by their psychologist and pedagogue.

We enjoyed the impromptu exhibition of the children’s artwork created in the workshops. It was interesting to see how these young, but wise children think about their own rights :)
