They were given the opportunity to learn how to ski. And they used it well!

In March, five of our top students were given the opportunity to stay in the Austrian ski resort Hinterstoder during the INTROplus Ski Camp for Children and attend the skiing school there. They returned overwhelmed with emotions and experiences that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Children travelled to Austria accompanied by SOS mother Verica and our HR director Josip Marinković, who took on the roles of the designated driver and DJ in the SOS van for this occasion.

Children were wowed by their stay in the INTROplus Camp. They enjoyed every day as they faced new skiing challenges and honed their skills. Descending down the beautiful ski slopes, they made really rapid progress and by the end of the camp they thoroughly deserved the right to call themselves skiers. They also got the opportunity to showcase their newly acquired skills for our well-known ski racer Natko Zrnčić-Dim, who held a short ski course for them and helped improve their skills further.

In addition to ski training, children also took part in a series of other organized activities, games and parties under the wholesome leadership of the INTROplus Camp. The friendly and caring mood in the camp helped them make new friends and INTROplus also provided the participants with two tutors who worked with them on a daily basis to help them with their studying and homework (to make up for absence from school during the camp).

Learning, skiing, having fun, laughing, excitement, singing, cheering, enjoying themselves. Children say that taking part in this camp was an amazing experience, and some even called it the best experience of their life. They returned home bursting with pride and smiling, and the van rang with singing all the way back to Lekenik.

This unforgettable experience was provided by the INTROplus Ski Camp for Children, i.e., the parents-friends of the Camp, whose donations covered the cost of accommodations, the SKI FRENKI ski repair service, which provided the equipment, and the Hinterstoder ski resort, which donated the ski passes. We are sincerely thankful to all of them for their contributions to our children’s happy childhood.
