Magical Sunday in SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci

A magical and sunny Sunday was a perfect backdrop for the annual repair of our children’s bicycles, exciting rides, new hairstyles, a football game and countless smiling faces that took all of this excitement in.

For the 7th year in a row, the citizen’s initiative “Grown-ups for Kids” from Osijek gathered its friends from motorcycle clubs, bicycle clubs, classic car clubs and hair salons to organize the annual repairs of children’s bicycles and a host of other events to entertain the children and share with them a great new experience.

More than 40 bicycles underwent repairs performed by dedicated repairmen we befriended over the past seven years. The SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci main street was suddenly the busiest street around. Making the bicycle rides safer were new bells donated to children at the BikeOs – the urban cycling festival that took place in Osijek. Of course, some bicycles needed replacement parts, which were once again donated by Keindl Sport and Giant.

We are delighted for and thankful to all the friends of SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci who took part in this event: BC Weekend Warriors, Studio Sofija, MC Legice, MC Osijek, MC Đakovo, MC Racing Našice, Classic Car Club Peti kotač Brezik, Keindl Sport, Giant and, of course, “Grown-ups for Kids”, who organized the whole event and took up a permanent place in our hearts.

“Be a grown-up and ensure a loving home for every kid in the SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci” – that’s the message that our friends have for all people who want to make this world a better place.
