Kozjak gifts us with sports, fun and delicious food

Generosity and good will of our friends from the Sports and Recreation Society Kozjak made this day a special one for the children from SOS Children's Villages Lekenik and Ladimirevci.

On Saturday morning, the sun came out readily, as if it knew how eagerly we awaited this day. Buses full of children arrived from Lekenik and Ladimirevci, and the SRS Kozjak volunteers were already waiting for them.

The bouncy castles were in place, the football pitch ready for games, there were plenty of soft drinks and snacks to go around and SOS mothers brought their most delicious cakes and cookies. Kids began playing as soon as they arrived – big bouncy castles had enough space for everyone. SOS mothers kept a careful eye on the children while enjoying this lovely outing and the surrounding nature.

At some point, delicious aroma of barbecue wafted everywhere, so even the liveliest of children didn’t find it too difficult to sit for a while as they enjoyed their lunch. As in previous years, everything was organized perfectly. The only hitch happened when all the sneakers in front of the bouncy castles got mixed up and even that was dealt with in a matter of minutes, and we all got a good laugh out of it.

After such a lovely day, children were reluctant to board the buses and head home. The rain started only after they departed! So, when good people come together to organize such a wonderful event for children, even the otherwise unreasonable weather cooperates readily.
Our hearts are full. Thank you, Sports and Recreation Society Kozjak!
