A cheery gathering in honour of bats

Children from the SOS Children's Village Ladimirevci had a great time during their visit to the Museum of Fine Arts in Osijek, where an event called the Night of the Bats took place.

Bat-shaped cookies, paper bats, a paper cave full of bats… the theme of the night were bats, and our kids enjoyed learning more about these unusual little creatures.

“First we watched a presentation on the connections between technology and biology. We learned more about the work of people who study bats and their movements. After the presentations, we made our own paper bats with the help of some glue and paint. We also visited a paper cave and saw educational titbits on bats, with focus on their anatomy. We also learned the meaning of many different terms, such as echolocation, which bats use to navigate in space”, recapped our Valentina, still impressed by the whole experience.

Our children always enjoy educational and entertaining workshops. This one was a huge hit and children are already looking forward to a similar event in the future.
